Board Approves 2025 - 2026 District Calendar

The Magnolia ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025 - 2026 school calendar at its regular meeting.

  • The first day of school is August 11, 2025. 
  • The district will again receive a fall break.
  • Students will have Early Release on Friday, December 19, and Friday, May 22.
  • The last day of school is May 22, 2026

The district's Childcare department will offer camps during the fall break and Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks as well as professional development days throughout the school year.

January is School Board Recognition Month

January is School Board Recognition Month and we are celebrating our trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district and our students. 

The theme of this year's School Board Recognition Month is Forward, Together, which highlights the collaboration among school leadership, teachers, and parents on behalf of students. 

"Recognizing the efforts of our volunteer school board is so important because of all the hard work our trustees put into making our district a success," said Dr. Todd Stephens, Superintendent.

Some of the recent items our Board has accomplished are:

  • Passage of $228 million bond to address growth and safety and security upgrades
  • Approve the lowest tax rate in over 20 years ($1.1472). The second lowest in Montgomery County.
  • Savings of over $56 million through our bond defeasance plan.
  • Commitment to $1.5 million to safety and security for Precinct 5 Constables at each campus

Free and Reduced Meal Applications

This fall, student meal rates return to all of our campuses.

Free and reduced meal applications will be available online on July 25, 2022, at www.heartlandapps.com. Paper applications are available at the Celeste Graves Educational Support Center located at 31141 Nichols Sawmill Rd. and at your child's campus.

Do you have a college degree and enjoy working with students? As a District of Innovation, Magnolia ISD is looking for degreed professionals who desire to teach and work with our students.  

Starting pay is $51,500, and $2,750 in incentive pay. MISD offers professional development throughout the year and a new teacher mentor program.
