NSE is now an official chapter school of Best Buddies International!

Mrs. Curry and Ms. Maxwell are the sponsors of the Best Buddies Club at Nichols Sawmill Elementary School. Best Buddies Club is all about the importance of inclusion, with a focus on friendships and organic connections between those with disabilities and their peers. The goal is to foster a sense of community between all young students, both with and without disabilities through inclusive activities which promote the social and emotional well being of one another. Interactions and acceptance of others is critical at a young age and one of the most rewarding aspects of the Best Buddies Club is the significant impact that one’s kind actions have on the life of another. Friendship, personal growth, and the ability to promote positive change is always welcomed.
