Ms. Jamie Tyler Rhea » Home

A little about me, I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Marketing degree and from University of Houston with a degree in Elementary Education.

I have been teaching for fifteen years and I have taught first, second, third, and now fourth grade.  I have a grown daughter (Randi Rhea Willis-love of my life) who graduated from Texas A&M University in December  a year ago and is now a second grade teacher in Karne City, Texas.   I also have a  a wonderful son-in-law named Hunter.  In September of this year I will be blessed with my first grandchild, a precious baby boy named Walker.

I feel that teaching through technology is a MUST in today's world. Our room contains a Smart Board, and many lap top computers. We are so fortunate to be in a district that puts great value in technology growth.

My classroom is filled with students who are engaged in learning with a purpose. It is an environment where students feel that their opinions and thoughts matter. We strive to learn something new everyday!

My spiritual calling is to be a teacher and I was called from a very young age. I have always loved children and I wouldn't trade the teaching profession for any other profession in the world. I also have always had a great relationship with all of my parents and I welcome any and all parent involvement.

I will assign homework throughout the year but the most important thing that parents can do is read with their children each and every evening for 20-30 minutes. It is critical to the success of children. Also, it creates lasting memories for us to hang on to when our children leave the nest and go on to college.

Lastly, I always strive to achieve a healthy home/spiritual/school relationship which is vital (in my opinion)to success in the classroom.
Please feel free to email me at if you have questions.  Have a great summer, recharging and relaxing and spending time with family.
