Hello, NSE families and friends!
2016-2017 is going to be the best year ever for your student here at NSE! How do I know? I know because your students assisted in helping last year to be FANTASTIC, and I know there's much more to follow this year!
I believe everything happens for a reason. My incredible mother and father, my varied life experiences (including a detour in Nashville, TN), and several other jaunts along the way have helped to guide and solidify my desire to teach, empower, and encourage elementary minds. From Conroe High School to Baylor University to Texas A&M University (1992--Whoop!!!), I've had many incredible teachers and professors guide me into the educational path I follow today. Of the students I've taught (grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th) and coached (7th/8th grade girls volleyball) in Nashville, TN, Conroe ISD, Tomball ISD, and Magnolia ISD, all share one common denominator. . . students, no matter the age or economic background, desire one thing . . . purpose . . . and when they establish a relationship with that certain teacher or administrator, purpose is born and a powerful education becomes inevitable! I love this profession!
I know life's experiences shape and mold each of us. I am currently being "reshaped and molded" as my family of 4 just recently became a family of 3 as we sent our oldest son, Jake, to Texas A&M . . . WHOOP! My youngest son, Dalton, is super-pumped to be an only child now and stays busy raising his lambs and serving on his high school FFA board. :) I'm working on cooking more, imitating more of "Fixer Upper", and laughing more at Jimmy Fallon! I love all things about our farm, hunting or fishing, RoundTop or Canton, Texas A&M, cute shoes, and traveling around this great state of Texas with my family! My husband, our two boys, our Westie, and our Weimaraner are always on-the-go . . . which definitely makes for never-a-dull moment around our house!
I know that we will lasso our future today as we journey through 2016-2017 together! Nichols Sawmill Elementary . . . truly is "a great place to be!"
