Hello, NSE families and friends!
We are saddling up and ready to ride into 2017-2018! As we gallop toward this year, we know that we absolutely have so much to give and so much to gain. At NSE, we are developing the whole child. . . so make sure you're ready for the ride of your life!
I believe everything happens for a reason. My incredible mother and father, my varied life experiences (including a detour in Nashville, TN), and several other jaunts along the way have helped to guide and solidify my desire to teach, empower, and encourage elementary minds. From Conroe High School to Baylor University to Texas A&M University (1992--Whoop!!!), I've had many incredible teachers and professors guide me into the educational path I follow today. Of the students I've taught (grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th) and coached (7th/8th grade girls volleyball) in Nashville, TN, Conroe ISD, Tomball ISD, and Magnolia ISD, all share one common denominator: Students, no matter the age or economic background, desire one thing . . . purposeful relationships . . . and when they establish a relationship with that certain teacher or administrator, purpose is born and a powerful education becomes inevitable! I love this profession!
My husband and I are seeing the fruits of a terrific education blossom in our 2 sons: Jake, our oldest son, a sophomore at Texas A&M and Dalton, our youngest son, a senior at Tomball High School. Cooking, diving into "Fixer Upper", and absolutely lovin' Jimmy Fallon and his many talents. . .our farm, hunting or fishing, RoundTop or Canton, Texas A&M, cute shoes, and traveling around this great state of Texas and the US with my family. . . all of these things are my favorites! My husband, our two boys, and our Weimaraner are always on-the-go with never-a-dull moment around our house!
With terrific expectations, I know that we can lasso our future and reach our goals as we journey through 2017-2018 together! Nichols Sawmill Elementary truly is "a great place to be!"
